easy enough,,,, they speak the language of emotion, they are most perceptable when you are in love or in great sorrow,,,,, cultivate love as a physical emotion….. radiate this and they will come into the human realm….. for the period of time that you stay there….
most people are never capable of radiating enough love….. only some have ever radiated enough sorrow and were often to self absorbed to look to see who was comforting them,,,,

I have had some interest in the Fae. You might find some interesting reading by Edain McCoy. Her web site is called
Edain McCoys witchy pages. In dealing with the Elemental World, it is always a good courtesy to be knowledgeable and cautious.

You can also get a lot of information as well as original artwork on Brian Froud’s website. Just remember his stuff is copyrighted, and he doesn’t like his work being stuck on the websites of others without his permission. But it’s great stuff! Check this link:

my grandmother use to say that if you wanted to send a message to fairies or fey folk, all you had to do was find a ladybug. They are pets of the fey. You should tell the ladybug the message then let it go. It will take it to them. That is why you should never hurt a ladybug as it angers the fey.

sounds to me like you are well on your way. as they begin to trust you more they will show themselves. they like shiny things. and leaving some pretty shiny things in your garden will make them happy. (i use polished dimes and stones)
give it time. remember they are almost immortaland do not have any sense of urgency.
A Witches Guide to the Fairy Folk. by Edian McCoy is a good resource book.

They can be tricky. Be careful what you do. Not all the fae are kind.

try shiny objects or even a quartz crystal. a friend of mine has frequent visits from these lovely things and they usually fight over who’s crystal is who’s. most amusing. another thing, from what i’ve seen, they love animals - particularly dogs and some young cats as well as children.

careful, because if you end up with gnomes, things(shiny things) will start to go missing. I dont have a single pair of complete earrings after contacting gnomes to help in the garden.

I love fairies. I’ve collected them for years. I have lots of little figurines all over the place. Haven’t seen one yet, but still waiting. I have heard that if you’re going to toss water outside, that you should yell a warning first, just in case they’re in the area.
